Today initiates the third and final challenge for this week.
If you missed Monday’s challenge (being present for thirty seconds prior to starting your car), you can learn about it here.
If you missed Wednesday’s challenge (mindfully eating for at least two minutes), you can learn about it here.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE
Between now and Monday, first thing in the morning, when you wake up, before you get up, spend at least two minutes attending to deep breathing, clearing your mind, and becoming present in your body and surroundings.
Notice your internal state of being, bodily sensations, and feelings-whatever is there. If there is nothing noticeable, then notice that.
If you forget to do this right when you first wake up, then whenever you first remember it, take at least two minutes and do it then.
And, of course, you can keep trying out the first two challenges along the way if you choose.
This is all about PRACTICING being present, versus the normal being-on-auto-pilot. And, it is fun!
